Dr. Tara Hansen has worked as a Telehealth Veterinarian for Chewy since 2021. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. Prior to joining Chewy’s Connect With a Vet, Dr. Hansen worked for over 20 years as a private practitioner and spent several years as a hospital medical director. While in practice, Dr. Hansen focused on general medicine, and especially enjoyed managing complex medical cases. Her current areas of interest include client outreach, public health, pain management, and rehabilitative medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Hansen loves planning travel adventures for herself and her family, and has visited all 50 states. She has two college-aged sons, an industrious fiancé, and two energetic dogs to keep her busy.
