Dr. Courtnee Morton earned her DVM degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2017, with her clinical rotations finished at Louisiana State University. She then completed a year-long equine internship and has since practiced veterinary medicine in a variety of equine clinics including ambulatory and referral hospitals. She became certified in veterinary acupuncture in January 2021; later that year she began her own mobile equine practice. Dr. Morton started working for Chewy as a Connect with a Vet Contractor in January of 2022, then became a full-time telehealth veterinarian in addition to her outside business. She has written a myriad of articles for PetMD, has presented on equine health at horse conferences, and is involved in promoting education in the local community. Dr. Morton is currently finishing up an animal chiropractic course and plans to become AVCA certified later this year. She currently lives near Stephenville, TX with her two dogs Ellie and Maverick, senior horse Skipper, and enjoys kayaking and concerts in her free time.
