Meet Dr. Stephanie Howe, Dr. Sara Bledsoe, CVA, CHPV, and Dr. Hannah Hart

Regulatory, Epidemiology & population Med - Dr. Hannah Hart

 

Dr. Hannah Hart earned her DVM from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017 and began her career with USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service as a Public Health Veterinarian. She spent four-and-a-half years working alongside other federal employees in meat packing facilities (swine, poultry, sheep, and beef cattle), ensuring animal welfare and food safety. Having learned a lot about livestock production and ensuring the security of the nation's meat supply, Dr. Hannah decided she was ready for a change and signed on as a contractor with Chewy's Connect with a Vet service in August 2022, later hired on as a Pet Health Representative (now Telehealth Veterinarian) in March 2023. Dr. Hannah has also contributed numerous articles to PetMD, Chewy’s affiliated pet parent education website. Having worked in both the government sector and now the companion animal sector, Dr. Hannah understands the importance of One Health, the interconnection of human, animal, and environmental health at multiple levels of society. Dr. Hannah is also a current member of the AVMA. Dr. Hannah lives in Minnesota with her calico cat Suki and enjoys reading and creative journaling.

Originally from California, Dr. Stephanie completed her bachelor's at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona. Dr. Stephanie then moved to Florida to obtain her DVM degree from the University of Florida in 2011. Dr. Stephanie has a background in private and corporate general practice and in academia. She joined the Chewy team in April of 2021. Dr. Stephanie is a published author and has interests in education, communication, hospice and palliative care and dentistry. Dr. Stephanie still lives in Florida with her husband and two children, along with her two dogs Katara and Sokka, who is a certified therapy dog.

Communication & professional development - Dr. Sara Bledsoe

 

Dr. Sara graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012 and completed her clinical year at Auburn University. While at Auburn, she received the Gentle Doctor Award for outstanding patient care and client communication. Dr. Sara is certified as a hospice and palliative care veterinarian (CHPV) through the International Association for Animal Hospice & Palliative Care (IAAHPC). She also obtained her certification in veterinary acupuncture (CVA) through Chi University. She has a background in private practice, focusing on geriatric care, pain management, quality of life assessments and communication. Dr. Sara currently lives in Gainesville, FL with her sweet geriatric dogs, Jax & Brinley, along with her cats, Ottley & Saba. Dr. Sara enjoys hiking, biking and traveling to National Parks.
